Meet Dennise, a volunteer whose story is deeply woven into the mission of ASF. 🌟
She first heard about ASF through Jose Mondragon, a former ASF board member, and it instantly struck a chord. Being from Tijuana herself, she knew firsthand the realities of the students we support. “I moved to the United States in 2019, but my roots, my heart, and my educational foundation will always belong to Mexico.” she shared. “I refuse to sit on the sidelines now that I am in a position to help.”
We’re grateful for volunteers like Dennise who show up, again and again, for our students. 💙

Ella supo de ASF por Jose Mondragón, ex miembro de la mesa directiva de ASF, y de inmediato sintió una conexión especial.
Al ser de Tijuana, conocía de primera mano las realidades de los estudiantes a quienes apoyamos. “Me mudé a Estados Unidos en 2019, pero mis raíces, mi corazón y mi formación educativa siempre pertenecerán a México,” compartió. “Me niego a quedarme al margen ahora que estoy en posición de ayudar.”
Estamos agradecidos por voluntarias como Dennise, que están presentes una y otra vez para nuestros estudiantes. 🤍
