In Mexico you pay tuition to attend school past sixth grade.
Not only must you pay tuition, but you must also purchase uniforms, school supplies and books. In Tijuana there are so few schools that many students must travel by bus or taxi to get to school. It is not unusual for a student to take two or four buses a day.
Each year, students with the desire and the skill to pursue their education are unable to do so because of financial and logistical obstacles they face.
The Advancing Students Forward mission is to provide disadvantaged students access to education and support for academic success so that they can create a promising future for themselves and for the community in which they live.
A small donation can make a big difference.
